SPACE BETWEEN US

– WELCOME –

about-header.jpg

This exhibition, presented during a time of near international lock- down, takes the viewer out of confinement to look through the eyes of a group of artists, each of who have produced a significant body of work capturing ways that space shapes and is shaped by life. The additional critical text, contained within the exhibition book, challenges us to think about changing notions of space, and perhaps what space will be like on the other side of today’s crisis.

More than 200 artworks are available to buy in the gallery, with 50% of the proceeds going to the Coronavirus relief fund and 50% to the artists.

27 contemporary artists from across the UK, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, France, Canada, The Netherlands, Australia and America have come together to show multiple different impressions of space and place in this exhibition. Its curation stems from a personal passion for documenting places in flux, and of forming an anthropology of temporary visual culture and landscape.

Artlink thanks everyone involved in producing this exhibition: each artist and academic, our supporters and funders. This is a significant new venture for our organisation, our first purely digital exhibition, with a strong international focus. It is our commitment to representing quality contemporary art, and to overcoming the most significant challenges to do so, that makes us doubly proud to present Space Between Us.
